Ok...This is wat happen to my friend last week. She surfed facebook and other websites using her company computer and got caught by her supervisor through history records(ctrl+H)...and she got a pretty bad consequences because of this.
But...
Thank to google chrome incognito....
Now we can surf in a smarter way~
A lot of my friends didn't know about incognito even though it has been introduced few years back...~
Google Chrome incognito
-like many browsers, incognito offers private browsing.
-Pages that you open and files that you download while in incognito mode aren't recorded in -Chrome's browsing or download history =) .
-All the cookies are deleted once you close your incognito windows.
-But, even in incognito mode, sites can still remember the information you've entered on a web form and if your internet service provider (ISP) or employer tracks the pages you visit, they'll still be able to do so...
-By using incognito, you make the tracking process a bit harder. But you can use it when you are surf using your friend pc or cybercafe to protect your privacy informations.
How to open an incognito window
Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
Select New incognito window.
A new window will open with the icon in the corner. You can continue browsing as normal in the other window.
You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS) and ⌘-Shift-N (Mac) to open an incognito window.
Remember to always clear your cookies for
- Faster performance
- More disc space
- Enhance security - cookies can be used to track your every move on the internet
You can install CCleaner for optimization and cleaning(history, cookies etc.). But one of the disadvantage for CCleaner is, you need to install it and some company laptops or computers need authorization to install any program to the company laptops/computers. Therefore, incognito is still the best choice for me... (=
*Download CCleaner from here*
So.... Start using incognito and good luck~
